Résumé :	The silent Epidemic adresses the problem of sexually transmited diseases. Examples shown of STDS on this film are mainly taken from kenya, however the video is relevant to the whole of sub-saharian africa where sexually transmited diseases are a growing problem within the unwelcome added dimension of AIDS. The programm is presented in an informal and simple style hosted by broadcaster Taphael Tuju. One of the the strenghs of this programmes is its simplicity even as it deals with realities often considered enbarrassing tithin most african cultural context. It is recommanded for viewing by those over 16 years of age. Younger people may need appropriate counselling.
