An attempt was also made to collect data on HFCs and SF6 associated with application of refrigeration and air-conditioning, fire suppression and explosion protection systems, and gas insulated switch gear and circuit breakers. Emissions data for precursors (NOx, CO and NMVOC) and SO2 are also given. Emission figures for the years 1990 and 1994 are reported. The Zambian greenhouse gas inventories presented in the report generally follows the Inter Governmental Panel on Climate Changee (IPCC) guidelines for national greenhouse gas inventories for 1996.
