Résumé :	Habitat International publishes this text by Jean Robert, Trust People, convinced that it makes a notable contribution to a yet unwritten history of popular housing ideas and pratices. The text analyses the positions of the most visible figures in the Latin Américan housing debate taking place princpaly in the sixties and the seventies - voices that are in danger of being silenced today as the fading capacity for sharing the global neoliberal euphorias and calamities. Trust People does not only record the main arguments and their concrete applications in those years, but also refers to the yet ongoing efforts and discussions of the "first generation" - as the author put it -, in ordor to display them to display them to young generations that now celebrate Habitat II
