Deficits are worst in the densely populated highlands in all the countries where these. Several approaches to reducing the problem on the forestry side as well as by woodfuel conservation are discussed and the major issues related to them are highlighted. The strategies for future action which are discussed include fuelwood conservation, improved natural woodland management, increasing productivity of trees on agricultural land, afforestation, marketing and commercialisation of woody fuels and role of alternative fuels. | Permalink : | http://enda-cremed.org/bpd/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=21499 |
