Les six (6) pays étudiés dans ce rapport reflètent une grande diversité de ressources régionales, économiques et énergétiques. Deux de ces pays choisis constituent aussi les nations les plus peuplés. Cependant toutes ces nations partagent des problèmes communs qui ont motivé des actions qui vont dans le sens de réduire la croissance des émissions de gaz à effet de serre. Ce rapport examine par conséquent des mesures qui contribuent à la réduction du changement climatique de ces pays que sont le Brésil, l'Inde le Mexique, l'Afrique du Sud et la Turquie.
